Haridwar to Uttarkashi Travel

As we left Haridwar, the skies started clearing, it rained for a while and then cleared a bit. It was still cloudy though!! but what we saw after that was truly spectacular....
Its a well know fact that, when Tehri dam was constructed over Bhagirathi river, it led to causing a reservoir, which destroyed about 72 villages in the area. They call it the Tehri Jheel. It has caused the Bhagirathi to flow at a very lazy pace. I think thats the reason the mist over the river. Simply Gothic but truly mind-boggling views!!

After a brief snack break, we found ourself stuck in a small landslide

Soon we reached Uttarkashi and as you read in the story we proceeded to Sangam Chatti

The terrible rock fall zone. Just because of this we had to walk half-a-kilometer extra... Boo Hoo
